Leah has been interested in other cultures since age 12, when her family took their first overseas trip together. She has a heart for the neglected and overlooked in the world. She has lived and worked abroad, serving in psychological, educational, and humanitarian endeavors. Her career began with a focus on children, primarily assessing learning and behavioral disorders. More recently, she has worked in a group setting with adults, providing counseling and conducting psychological evaluations. Since 2003, she has taught Master’s level clinical counseling students (at Columbia International University and Divine Mercy University), urging them to use their talents internationally. Through Valeo, she desires to support cross-cultural workers by facilitating their ability to cope, adapt, and thrive so they can fulfill their unique calling.
